Nikesha Tilton
Mo's Heroes State Director South Carolina

Nikesha Tilton is South Carolina’s State Director for Mo’s Heroes Inc. She is a native of Chicago, IL and has lived in various locations throughout her adult life. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the United States Air Force and has proudly served for over 17 years. She has supported several overseas missions to include—Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. Her service has led her to countries such as Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, South Korea and she has even spent a year at “the top of the world” at Thule Air Base in Greenland. Being in the military has equipped her to embrace diversity and gain a unique understanding and respect for different worldviews.

While she is grateful for the opportunities, friendships and knowledge she has gained from her military experience, she also knows there are many warriors who continue to fight physical, mental, and emotional battles as a result of their military service. Nikesha has seen firsthand how military service can leave long lasting and negative impacts on the lives of service members and their families. She has the unwanted privilege of providing crisis intervention, traumatic stress response and resiliency training to many of our nation’s heroes.

Nikesha has always had a passion to help and empower others. Her hope is to bridge the gap and help provide critical wraparound services and interventions to our Veterans by being an advocate and helping them navigate through the resources and programs that are offered through Mo’s Heroes.

Nikesha’s desire to serve others and ensure that all Veterans have not only their basic needs met but are enabled to reach their desired level of success, is in direct alignment with the core values of Mo’s Heroes and she is honored to be a part of this organization.
