Mo’s Heroes assists veterans combat hunger through the Charles D. Navarro program. Hunger continues to rise among the veteran population. Veterans are among the 20% suffering from hunger. Without proper nutrition, many wounded or ill veterans may only get worse. Even more, the nation has witnessed trouble with food stamp funding and resources that can help.
Mo’s Heroes has taken a aggressive approach and reaches out to Corporate community leaders asking for their assistance in combating this national epidemic. We have worked across state lines, in collaboration with food banks, and Social and Human Service Organizations to provide resources to provide hunger relief to assist veterans in need.
Mo’s Heroes has not forgotten that our Veterans have risked their lives, sacrificed and suffered for our country. For many Veterans, there aren’t enough options out there within their reach to help with food supply, housing, and to receive aid. That is why Mo’s Heroes works to help veterans in need and most importantly their children and families who are also affected.
