Portia Hall
Chief Operating Officer/ Mo's Heroes State Director Kentucky

Portia Hall is the global Chief Operating Officer and the regional State Director of Mo’s Heroes local chapter in Kentucky.

Portia is originally a native of Tuskegee, Alabama. After graduating high school, she attended Tuskegee University and then enlisted into the United States Army in 2000. She currently serves as an Active Duty Soldier and is also a combat Veteran with 16 years of loyal service in the United States Army. Portia’s military service has extended across the United States and around the globe — including multiple countries in Africa, Kuwait, and Iraq (in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn) which earned her several awards and decorations.

Portia has overcome her own hurdles arising from the invisible scars of war. She understands first-hand what challenges and situations our Veterans are facing on a daily basis. She understands that life happens and not in the way in which one planned it. Supporting Mo’s Heroes allows her to help her fellow Veterans overcome their current situation by being that listening ear, that comforting shoulder to lean on, or providing food, shelter and clothing when needed most.

Portia carries in her heart a life lesson she was taught as a child, “Treat others the way in which you would want to be treated.”

As an Active Duty Servicewoman, Portia is grateful for each Veteran she has had the pleasure of meeting or assisting, for paving the way for her in this great military.
